Elvar Thormar

Elvar Thormar has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Elvar currently serves as the CPO and co-founder of Standby Deposits, a position they have held since October 2021. Previously, Elvar held multiple executive positions at Reon, including CEO from October 2017 to present, CSO from October 2016 to October 2017, and CEO and co-founder from January 2011 to October 2016. Elvar is also a board member at Reon Ventures since January 2021. In addition, Elvar has served as a board member at Jökulá since August 2020 and as Chairman of Koikoi since September 2017. Elvar co-founded Eris in November 2017 and was a board member at Konvolut.io from August 2018 to October 2021. Elvar also served as a board member at Rofar Technology ehf. from January 2015 to August 2018 and at RT ehf. from July 2013 to November 2017. Furthermore, Elvar co-founded Haelo, Inc. in March 2016, where they held the position of CTO and co-founder until September 2016.

Elvar Thormar's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at the Commercial College of Iceland, where they focused on economics. Elvar completed their studies at the college in 2007. Following that, from 2007 to 2011, they attended Reykjavik University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering Management. Finally, in 2011, Elvar Thormar pursued a Master's Degree at DTU - Technical University of Denmark in the field of Engineering/Industrial Management, completing their studies in 2012.
