Elie Mala

Elie Mala has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Elie started their career as a Consultant at Capital Markets Advisors LLC, where they played a role in expanding the firm into Canada and collaborated with vendor risk management teams. Elie then worked as a Business Analyst at BMO Capital Markets, supporting process transformation and strategic initiatives. At Mizuho Americas, Elie served as a Business Analyst in the Legal and Compliance Division, providing support to the Volcker Rule team. Elie further developed their experience at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, where they worked as a Client Onboarding/KYC Specialist, assisting in client due diligence and enhanced due diligence processes. Elie also worked at Commerzbank AG as a Credit Analyst, completing credit assessments and collaborating with international relationship managers and credit officers. Elie then joined Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank as a Credit Portfolio Management AVP, where they monitored credit exposure, reviewed new business cases, and ensured profitability metrics were met. Currently, they work at Stanford Federal Credit Union as a Commercial Banking Officer.

Elie Mala attended Stony Brook University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and History. In 2022, they obtained a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, and in 2023, they obtained a Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) certification, also from the Federal Aviation Administration.
