Michael Tran Duff is an accomplished information security and data privacy leader with extensive experience in academia and technology. Currently serving as Chief Information Security and Data Privacy Officer at Harvard University, Michael orchestrates a comprehensive information security program while balancing privacy and regulatory obligations. Previously, Michael held key roles at Stanford University, including Assistant Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, where significant advancements in cybersecurity were made. With additional contributions as a board member of the Bay Area CSO Council and experience in IT leadership at organizations such as SRI International and MDinteractive, Michael brings a wealth of expertise in cybersecurity, privacy, and technology operations. Michael holds both Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
