Gay Crawford has extensive experience in cancer support and advocacy. Since July 2014, Gay Crawford has served as the Founding Chair and Emeritus Member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council at Stanford Health Care South Bay Cancer Center. In addition, Gay Crawford co-founded Cancer CAREpoint in 2009, a non-profit organization that provides free, one-on-one support programs for cancer patients and their families in Silicon Valley. Gay Crawford also founded the Courageous Kids Day initiative for the American Cancer Society in California in May 1989. Gay Crawford holds an AB degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, completed between 1963 and 1965.
