Kate Luenprakansit

Kate Luenprakansit, MD, currently serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Ethics at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics, beginning in September 2024, and has held multiple roles at Stanford Health Care since November 2014, including Co-Chair of the SHC Ethics Committee and Medical Director of Clinical Ethics. With an extensive background in ethical decision-making in clinical settings, Kate supports various committees and initiatives aimed at enhancing ethical practices across the institution. In addition to a clinical associate professorship at Stanford University School of Medicine, Kate specializes in perioperative medicine and plays a significant role in medical education, teaching medical students and fellows. Previous experience includes serving as a Resident Doctor at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center following the completion of an MD at Oregon Health & Science University and a BS in Molecular Biology from UCLA.
