Richard Sankary

Richard Sankary, MD, currently serves as the President and CEO of Stanford Health Care and holds the position of Chair of the Board at University Medical Partners. Additionally, Richard is a board member of Stanford Medicine: University HealthCare Alliance and the Chief Medical Officer for Accountable Care within the same organization. Richard founded Affinity Medical Group in 1999, where Richard continues to serve as President and Chair of the Board. Prior to their current roles, Richard was the VP of Health Services Delivery at University HealthCare Alliance from 2012 to 2015. Richard obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard Medical School, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pulmonology, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. Furthering professional development, Richard is currently enrolled in the Physician Leadership Program at Stanford University.
