Sharon Hartley

Sharon Hartley, J.D. is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in risk management and healthcare law. Currently serving as the Administrative Director of Risk Management Legal Counsel at Stanford Health Care and as Senior University Counsel at Stanford University since October 2020, Sharon manages clinical risk assessment teams and provides in-house legal counsel. Prior roles include Health Care Ombudsman and Senior Counsel at Kaiser Permanente, where responsibilities encompassed mediation, training, and regulatory compliance. Sharon also contributes as Chair of the Nominating Committee for Peninsula Family Service and previously served as Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice, handling complex legal matters. Sharon holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
