Weight Loss Research Assistant – Spark And Ignite Lab at Stanford Medicine

Sydney Helfand is currently a Weight Loss Research Assistant at Stanford University School of Medicine, where responsibilities include conducting clinical trials on behavioral weight loss strategies for adults with obesity. Additionally, Sydney performs with the Legacy Dance Team and serves as the Club Tennis Social Chair at Stanford University. Volunteer efforts with the Kids with Dreams Foundation focus on engaging with children with special needs. Previous experience includes serving on the Programming Team for Stanford Women in Politics, coordinating speaker events to inspire the community, and interning at UC San Diego Health, where research involved developing resources for cancer patients.
