Stanford Student Space Initiative
Troy Broussard currently serves as the Propellant Systems Responsible Engineer and a Rocket Structures Team Member at the Stanford Student Space Initiative, contributing to the "Fountain Hopper" project focused on developing a vertical takeoff and landing rocket through advanced design techniques. Previously, Troy gained valuable experience at SpaceX as a Starship Propulsion Systems Engineer and in Launch Control Engineering, where responsibilities included developing testing criteria for launch pad systems and improving automation to enhance launch cadence. Additional roles involved fluid systems engineering at Hermeus and achieving 1st place in a national engineering competition with a wind tunnel project. Troy has also held leadership positions, including Texas State Secretary for SkillsUSA and Student Ambassador for Grand Prairie ISD, advocating for education and technical advancement. Education includes ongoing studies at Stanford University in Aerospace Engineering and a Private Pilot's License from Skymates Flight Academy.
