Alejandro Sutphen

Alejandro Sutphen is a seasoned professional in institutional giving and development with extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Currently serving as the Director of Institutional Giving for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco since October 2022, Alejandro previously held various roles at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City from June 2019 to October 2022, including Deputy Director of Development and Senior Associate, Corporate & Foundation Relations. Prior to that, Alejandro was the Manager of Institutional Advancement at IBA - Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción from October 2016 to June 2019, where the organization focused on community development and support for low-income families. Alejandro's career also includes experience as the Computer Literacy & Facilities Coordinator at Trinfo.Cafe Technology Center from January 2013 to May 2016 and internships at ACIJ Asociación Civil por la Igualdad y la Justicia and the Foundation for Sustainable Development. Alejandro holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major from Trinity College-Hartford and completed preparatory studies at Northfield Mount Hermon.
