Amanda Modell

Amanda Modell is an experienced educator and researcher with a focus on graduate teaching programs, currently serving as the Senior Associate Director at Stanford University since April 2019. Modell has developed and managed various initiatives supporting graduate students as Teaching Assistants and instructors, including inclusive teaching practices and orientation programs. Prior to this role, Modell worked at UC Davis in multiple capacities, including Graduate Student Researcher and Associate Instructor in the Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies Department, contributing to course development and educational research aimed at enhancing teaching and learning. With a PhD in Cultural Studies from UC Davis, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s in American Studies, Modell has a strong academic foundation supporting a commitment to effective and equitable education.
