Catherine Chen

Catherine Chen is a Research Assistant at Stanford University, focusing on Risk Control for Large Language Models under the guidance of Assistant Professor Lihua Lei. In addition to this role, Catherine serves as an Instructor for the CME 300Q ICME Qualifying Exam Workshop and as a Course Assistant for CME 102 - Ordinary Differential Equations. Previously, Catherine was a Research Assistant at Columbia University in the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience, where work involved developing a semi-supervised sequence model for behavioral segmentation. Additional experience includes a Software Product Sprint at Google, a Software Engineering Internship at Point Robotics MedTech Inc., and a Biomedical Engineering Internship at the Industrial Technology Research Institute. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Data Science from Columbia University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford University.
