Eric Kool is the George and Hilda Daubert Professor of Chemistry at Stanford University, a position held since July 1999. In addition, Eric Kool serves as the Co-founder and Chair of the Science Advisory Board at Cell Data Sciences, a biotechnology company established in August 2015 that specializes in extracting biologically and biomedically significant molecular data from cells and tissues. Previously, Eric Kool was a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Rochester from July 1990 to July 1999. Eric Kool completed postdoctoral studies in Bioorganic Chemistry at Caltech from 1988 to 1990 and earned a PhD in Chemistry from Columbia University between 1983 and 1988, having obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Miami University from 1979 to 1983.
