Isabel Merel

Isabel Merel is a dedicated environmental sustainability professional with a diverse background in educational and programmatic roles. Currently serving as a Program Associate for Environmental Sustainability at Stanford University since November 2025, Isabel previously worked as an Environmental Educator for California Climate Action Corps and as an Assistant Sustainability Coordinator at Occidental College, where significant contributions included climate action planning and emissions dashboard co-design. Isabel's impactful internships at Occidental College involved leading initiatives to replace single-use dining containers and facilitating stakeholder meetings focused on sustainable food systems. Additionally, experience as an instructor at the National Inventors Hall of Fame and in guest services at Target has enhanced interpersonal skills, complementing a Bachelor of Arts in Urban & Environmental Policy from Occidental College.
