Kate Rose is a highly experienced archaeologist and academic currently serving as the Director of Programs at the Institute for Field Research and a Research Fellow at the University of Chicago's CAMEL Lab since September 2024. Rose has held multiple positions in significant archaeological projects, including roles as an Archaeologist and GIS Specialist in the Middle Kingdom Theban Project and as a Supporting Scholar for Stanford University's African Collections Project. Additionally, Rose has contributed to various other projects, including the Jebel Barkal Archaeological Project and The Amarna Project, and has recently served as a Foundational GIS Lecturer at Harvard University. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Archaeology from Harvard University, Rose combines expertise in landscape archaeology with a focus on material culture and effective outreach practices.
