Katy Bechler

Katy Bechler is the Director of Student & Academic Affairs for the Bioengineering Department at Stanford University, where they currently develop programs that support students, faculty, and staff. With a background that includes serving as Associate Director of Graduate Admissions in Electrical Engineering and various roles in the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Katy has demonstrated a commitment to fostering personal growth and development in higher education. Their previous experience also includes positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they played a vital role in the Evening and Executive MBA Programs. Katy started their career as an English Language Teaching Assistant for the Fulbright Commission/Austrian Education Ministry. They hold a Bachelor of Arts and an M.A. in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
