Larry Chu

Larry Chu is a Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and the Executive Director of Stanford Medicine X. They run the Anesthesia Informatics and Media (AIM) lab, focusing on how information technologies can enhance medical education and patient empowerment. With an NIH-funded clinical research laboratory, Dr. Chu investigates opioid analgesic tolerance and physical dependence. They have held various academic positions at Stanford and have served on editorial boards for prominent medical publications. Larry Chu earned multiple degrees, including an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and an MS in Epidemiology from Stanford University.
