Ling Cao is an established researcher and academic with extensive experience in marine conservation, aquaculture, and ecosystem management. Serving as an Affiliated Fellow and Research Scientist at Stanford University since August 2013, Cao focuses on issues related to fisheries, food security, and ocean governance. Additionally, holding the position of Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since July 2018, Cao contributes to the academic community through teaching and research. Previously, Cao served on the Supervisory Board of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council from February 2016 to January 2019, advocating for sustainable fish farming practices. Ling Cao earned a PhD in Natural Resource Ecology and Management from the University of Michigan, completing the degree in 2012.
