Lisa Thomas is the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs at Stanford University. Lisa previously worked as an Associate Department Administrator at MD Anderson Cancer Center from November 2013 to December 2014. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic planning for the largest and most complex department in the division, which included 44 faculty members. Her responsibilities also included managing the HR, finance, research, and operations teams for abdominal imaging, conducting budget planning, and handling recruitment and negotiating physician contracts.
During their time at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Lisa Thomas made a significant impact on the efficiency of the department. Lisa trained the entire faculty on a new dictation system called Powerscribe, which resulted in faster dictation and increased work efficiency for the physicians. Additionally, they managed group RVU productivity trends and projections for radiologists and successfully transitioned the department from QGenda to a new on-call management scheduling system (OpenTempo).

Lisa Thomas has an MBA in Business Administration from Texas Woman's University and a BBS in Health Information Management from Texas State University-San Marcos. Lisa also has an Associate of Applied Sciences in Health Information/Medical Records Technology/Technician from Lee College and is certified by AHIMA as a Registered Health Information Administrator.
