Mike Bittner

Michael Bittner currently serves as the Associate Director of Health, Safety, and Emergency Management at Stanford University since January 2024. Bittner has been a Graduate Teaching Assistant at North Dakota State University since August 2017 and has held a role as Security Forces Supervisor in the North Dakota Air National Guard since 2006, where supervision of 32 Security Forces members during a deployment to Afghanistan showcased strong leadership and communication skills under pressure. Prior experience includes working as a Book Seller at Barnes & Noble from January 2004 to November 2006, focusing on customer service and inventory management. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from North Dakota State University (2017-2019), a Bachelor of Applied Science in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from North Dakota State University (2010-2014), and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the Community College of the Air Force (2013-2014).
