Peter Cavanagh

PHD Student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow

Peter Cavanagh is a highly experienced researcher in the fields of biochemistry and synthetic biology. From January 2013 to August 2014, Peter served as a researcher for Tufts iGEM, contributing to significant projects in international synthetic biology competitions. Following this role, Peter was the director of Tufts Synthetic Biology from August 2014 to August 2016, overseeing organizational growth and research initiatives. Peter also held positions as a molecular microbiologist at Draper, co-president of the Tufts University chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and an undergraduate researcher focusing on bio-analytical chemistry. Peter's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biomedical Engineering Science from Tufts University and ongoing doctoral studies at Stanford University as a NSF Graduate Research Fellow in the Biochemistry Department of the School of Medicine.
