Ruby Zefo

Ruby Zefo is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute since August 2025, Ruby previously held significant roles at Uber as Chief Privacy Officer and Assistant General Counsel for Privacy & Cybersecurity, where leadership was demonstrated in building a global privacy and cybersecurity program. Prior to this, Ruby was at Intel Corporation, serving as Group Counsel for the Artificial Intelligence Products Group and leading the global privacy and security legal practice. Ruby's earlier career involved working with Sun Microsystems as Assistant General Counsel for Marketing & Brands and trademark counsel, as well as a litigation associate at Fenwick & West. Ruby holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.S. with highest honors in Management Science from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
