Sam Wald, MD, MBA, FASA, currently serves as Senior Vice President of Perioperative, Interventional, Pharmaceutical, Imaging, Lab, and Blood Services at Stanford Health Care, where they also hold the position of Chief Medical Officer for Perioperative and Interventional Care. In their role as Associate Chief Medical Officer since 2014, they have demonstrated expertise in operations, strategic planning, and financial management. Wald has also been a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at Stanford University since 2014. They completed a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Boston Children's Hospital and residency in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, building a robust foundation in medical education and practice. Wald holds a Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an MBA from Duke University.
