Sunny Wang

Sunny Wang is a PhD student and researcher at Stanford University, focusing on failure mechanisms in solid-state batteries within the Chueh group in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering. Wang has developed a Python-based EIS data processing pipeline and served as Head Teaching Assistant for laboratory courses in physical chemistry and electrochemistry. Experience includes a role as a Battery Failure/Root Cause Analysis Engineer at Apple, where Wang contributed to electrolyte formulation through electrochemical testing and developed image analysis methods. Prior roles involved research at UNSW and The University of Tokyo, optimizing material synthesis and studying chemical dynamics. Sunny Wang holds a BSc (Adv) in Mathematics and Chemistry with First Class Honours from UNSW and is pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at Stanford University.
