Yang Hu

Yang Hu is a Professor at Stanford University, a position held since December 2016, having previously served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University from July 2011 to November 2016, and Senior Research Biologist at Merck, focusing on neurodegeneration and Alzheimer's disease from October 2009 to July 2011. Yang Hu also completed a Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School from April 2007 to September 2009, studying stress responses in neurons, and another Research Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery from June 2006 to March 2007, investigating immune cell recruitment mechanisms. Early career experience includes a residency in Ophthalmology at Beijing Friendship Hospital from September 1996 to August 1998. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Neuroscience & Immunology from Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University and a B.M. in Clinical Medicine from Beijing Medical University.
