Mark Swanson

Mark Swanson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mark worked at Stanley Martin Homes as the VP of Technical Operations since July 2022. Before that, they held the role of Director of Information Technology at the same company from December 2017 to July 2022. Prior to their time at Stanley Martin Homes, Mark worked as a Senior Network Admin at Metaphor, Inc. from 1999 to January 2018. Mark also worked as a Network Admin Consultant at Heritage Contracting from 2001 to 2009, and as an Information Systems Consultant at Renaissance Housing from 2000 to 2008. In addition, Mark worked as a Network Consultant at Sunrise Lawn Landscaping in 2006, and as a Network Admin Consultant at Stanley Martin Companies from 2002 to 2004. Mark started their career as a Computer Consultant at The Teaching Company from 1999 to 2004. Mark's early experience includes working as a Controller at Maryland Development Co. from February 1997 to June 1999.

Mark Swanson attended James Madison University from 1977 to 1981, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. Following this, they enrolled in Virginia Tech from 1983 to 1986 and successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Mark Swanson obtained a certification in the "20 Habits of Executive Leadership" from LinkedIn in April 2021.
