Kara Pelecky

CIO at Stanley Security Solutions

Kara Pelecky is currently the CIO at Stanley Security Solutions. Prior to that, they served as the VP/Chief Information Officer at Nuclear Generation Operating Company from August 2013 to February 2020. In that role, they were specifically hired to create and implement operational blueprints to define, source and operate ICT functionality as a corporate service and in support of a four unit nuclear power new build to provide electricity to support future national growth.

From December 2002 to July 2013, Kara served as the Director IT Enterprise Resource Planning at Exelon. In that role, they were asked to lead the ERP Support Division covering vendor and bespoke HR and Finance applications 26 staff and a budget of US$28M during a critical phase to reassess and rebid a major outsourcing effort. Kara was able to transform and rationalize application support teams and processes with consolidation and outsourcing, and re-engineering the outsourcing relationship model with annual savings of US$500K.

Prior to their roles at Exelon and Nuclear Generation Operating Company, Kara served as a Manager at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGEY) from January 2000 to December 2002 and Ernst & Young from January 1994 to December 2000.

Kara Pelecky received their MBA from DePaul Driehaus College of Business and their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Texas A&M University, magna cum laude, with an Honors Certificate.

Kara Pelecky reports to Matt Kushner, President. They work with Troy Dayon - President, Healthcare, Access Technologies, Tracie Gildea - CMO, and Deborah Wintner - VP, Human Resources.
