Jeffery D. Ansell

EVP, Global Tools & Storage at Stanley Black & Decker

Jeffery D. Ansell is the Executive Vice President and formerly was the President of Stanley Black & Decker's Global Tools & Storage group. He helped grow this business via organic and inorganic efforts from $600 million to $10 billion in annual revenues.

The Global Tools & Storage business is headquartered in Towson, Maryland, and employs approximately 35,000 people worldwide. Jeff is responsible for all assets of the business, including the following brands: STANLEY, BLACK+DECKER, DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, IRWIN, LENOX, BOSTITCH, Proto, FACOM, Mac Tools and STANLEY FATMAX. Additionally, Jeff has championed a localized manufacturing strategy, “Make Where We Sell,” to insource manufacturing to the United States and many of the 180+ countries served.

Jeff started his career with Stanley Black & Decker in 1999 as the Vice President of Sales, where he was responsible for strategic planning and partnerships, growth and development for 10 percent of the company's revenue. Since then, he has held various roles of increasing responsibility across the company, including VP of Global Marketing for Hand Tools and President of the Industrial Tools Group. In 2004, he was appointed to lead the Stanley Construction & Do-It-Yourself (CDIY) division and established a new business unit structure to most effectively deliver innovation and value to our customers and end-users. He also simultaneously improved the division's operating margins, ROCE and service levels to a company-leading position and realized an average annual growth rate of 2-3 times the industry average.

Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
