Laura Rutherford

Laura Rutherford is a Geological Engineer in Training at Stantec, serving on the Site Assessment and Remediation Team within the Mining, Minerals and Metals business line since May 2019. As a Co-Chair of the Stantec U.S. Mining Women's Peer Mentorship Program, Laura is committed to creating a supportive community by leading discussions and networking opportunities. Previous experience includes roles as an Hydrogeologic Scientist - EIT, where Laura provided specialized oversight on diverse projects, and as the Interface and Risk Lead at Chevron, focusing on risk management and project interface during a mine reclamation project. Earlier positions included working as a Laboratory and Field Technician at Ninyo & Moore and as an Assistant Lab Technician at Professional Service Industries, Inc. Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
