Alex Whittle

Alex Whittle has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Alex began their career at Telstra as a Senior Systems Analyst, where they worked on various projects in areas such as Network Engineering, Corporate Marketing, and Management Information Systems. Alex then moved on to Flight Centre as an Analyst Programmer, where they led a team of contract developers and was responsible for financial, sales, and operational performance management reports.

After their time at Flight Centre, Alex worked at WorkCover Queensland as a Team Leader before joining Boral Construction Materials as a Business/Systems Analyst. At Boral, they documented business requirements for the Quarry Management System and identified under-production issues.

Alex's next role was as a Consultant Business Analyst at the Department of Education & Training, QLD. Here, they researched and recommended a solution to improve access for Deaf students in the TAFE system through teleconferencing.

Alex then joined Brisbane City Council as a Business Analyst, where they worked on various projects, including a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) project. During this time, they developed business and functional requirements documents and established SOA governance procedures.

Alex then became a consultant Business Analyst at the Department of Education, Economic Development, and Innovation, where they developed business cases for data warehousing and performance reporting.

Alex later joined Unitywater as a Senior Business Analyst, where they worked on an integrated asset management/works management system. Alex documented business processes and requirements and managed the development team for ESB integrations.

After their time at Unitywater, Alex worked as a Business Analyst at Santos Ltd, where they recovered a high-visibility asset management mobility project. Alex worked closely with the Project Manager and resolved multiple systemic problems, documenting requirements, test plans, and acceptance plans.

Most recently, Alex has been working as a Senior Business Analyst at Stanwell Corporation Limited.

Alex Whittle attended Monash University from 1977 to 1979, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Later, from 2004 to 2006, Alex studied at the Gestalt Institute of Queensland Inc and received a Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Theory and Methods, specializing in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
