Kannan Karmegam

Kannan Karmegam has a strong background in technology and software development. Kannan started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Thesys Technologies Pvt Ltd in 2001, where they worked with .NET 1.1 and VB 6. Kannan then moved to iSOFT R&D Pvt Ltd in 2004, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer and was involved in the development of services development framework components and code generation tools using C#2.0 and Visual Studio 2005.

Kannan later joined mphasis as a Module Lead in 2006, where they worked with Visual Studio 2005, ASP.NET 2.0, and VB. Kannan then continued their career at Merrill Lynch as a Specialist and at Simient as a Consultant, gaining experience in technologies such as ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, MVC Pattern, and Windows Forms.

In 2011, Kannan joined Datacom as a SharePoint Consultant, specializing in SharePoint development and administration. Kannan then worked at SMS Management & Technology as a SharePoint Consultant, involved in various SharePoint projects, including SharePoint Online development and migrations, intranet portal development, content migrations, and workflow implementation.

Kannan joined RSL Queensland in 2017 as a Sharepoint/Power Platform/Integration Consultant, where they worked until 2021. During their time at RSL Queensland, they gained expertise in Sharepoint, Power Platform, and integration solutions. Kannan then joined Suncorp Group as a Power Platform/Automation Specialist, where they worked until 2023. Currently, Kannan is employed as a Senior Power Platform Engineer at Stanwell Corporation Limited.

Kannan Karmegam completed their Master's degree in computer applications from Dr.MGR Engineering College during the period of 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science with a specialization in Statistics from Presidency College from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Kannan has also earned several certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert and Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate in 2023. Kannan also holds certifications such as MCTS SharePoint 2010 Configuration (obtained in 2013), MCTS .NET Framework 4, Windows application (obtained in 2011), and MCTS Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (obtained in 2009).
