Kieran McShane has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Kieran started their career in 2002 as a Commissioning Engineer at Pacific Power International. Kieran then worked as a Control Systems Engineer at Snowy Hydro Limited from 2003 to 2005. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Lead Engineer - SIS Hardware/Software at Rockwell Automation.

In 2008, Kieran joined McCullough Industries as a Lead DCS E&I Engineer. Kieran played a significant role in the design, planning, and execution of process control scheme modernization projects. Kieran also contributed to the configuration and commissioning efforts at Dyno Nobel's Ammonium Nitrate plant.

From 2014 to 2016, Kieran worked at pidab AB as a Functional Safety Specialist & Senior Automation Engineer. Kieran then joined CrossControl as a Functional Safety Expert from 2016 to 2018.
