Louis Viljoen has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Louis is currently serving as the Engineering Superintendent at Stanwell Corporation Limited since March 2020. Prior to this, they worked at WSP in Australia as a Senior Control Systems Engineer from October 2018 to March 2020. In this role, they were involved in various engineering services such as owner's engineer, specification and business development, conceptual and detail design, and project management in the power generation and mining sectors.

Before WSP, Louis gained valuable experience at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Africa. Louis held the position of Commissioning Manager - Medupi from March 2017 to October 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Commissioning Engineer from September 2013 to March 2017 and as a Commissioning Engineer from January 2012 to September 2013. During their time at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Africa, they were responsible for overseeing commissioning activities and ensuring the successful operation of power systems.

Louis's early career started at Eskom Peaking Generation, where they worked as an Engineer from January 2009 to January 2012.

The certifications were obtained in various years, with the most recent obtained in 2019.
