Kevin Knodell

Kevin Knodell is a staff writer at Honolulu Star-Advertiser, reporting on military, security, and diplomacy in Hawai’i and the Pacific region. Kevin has experience as an associate producer for Angry Planet podcast, a reporter for Honolulu Civil Beat through Report For America, a correspondent for Coffee or Die Magazine, and a freelance journalist for various media outlets. Kevin also worked as a contributor for Playboy Magazine, wrote the 'Acts of Valor' comic series for US Naval Institute, and was a contributing editor for War Is Boring. Additionally, Kevin served as a field team coordinator for Iraq/Syria and a book critic. Kevin holds a B.A. in History from Pacific Lutheran University.
