Sharene Chun has extensive experience in the newspaper distribution industry, with roles at Oahu Publications Inc., Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Currently serving as Director of Distribution Operations and Direct Mail at Oahu Publications Inc., Sharene oversees the Home Delivery, Single Copy, and Transportation Departments across all islands. Prior to this, Sharene held positions as Print Distribution Manager and Home Delivery Manager at Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and as Assistant Circulation Director and Single Copy Manager at Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Sharene attended James B. Castle High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser is the largest daily newspaper in the U.S. state of Hawaiʻi. It was formed from the merger of The Honolulu Advertiser and The Honolulu Star-Bulletin into a single entity June 7, 2010. It is the flagship product of Oahu Publications, Inc. which owns a diverse group of publications, including MidWeek, three militarypapers and various specialty publications, as well as luxury and hotel magazines. The Star-Advertiser is headquartered in Honolulu and it's state-of-the-art Roland offset printing press is housed in a 147,000 square-foot production and distribution facilities in Kapolei.
