Roy Kwan

Roy Kwan has a diverse work experience in the engineering and design field. Roy is currently serving as the Head of Engineering and Design at Star Group of Companies Australia since July 2023. Prior to this position, they held various roles at the company including Design | Engineering Manager from October 2022 to July 2023, Design | Assistant Manager from April 2020 to October 2022, and Senior Electrical Engineer from September 2018 to April 2020. Before joining Star Group, Roy worked at Norman Disney & Young as a Senior Electrical Engineer from October 2016 to September 2018, and as an Electrical Project Engineer from August 2013 to October 2016. Roy started their engineering career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Opus International Consultants Limited from September 2011 to August 2013. Prior to that, Roy worked as a Membership Services Officer at Engineers Australia from February 2008 to October 2011.

Roy Kwan completed their education in a chronological manner. Roy attended St Aloysius' College, Milsons Point from 1998 to 2005 and obtained a High School Certificate. From 2006 to 2011, they studied at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Advanced Japanese. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Accredited Tier Designer from the Uptime Institute in January 2023. Roy also has certifications pending from Engineers Australia, including Chartered Engineer and the National Engineers Register.
