Erik Roelfsema

Erik Roelfsema is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in laboratory diagnostics, operations, and project management. Since 2020, Erik has served as the Director of Laboratory Diagnostics and Director of Operations at Star-shl, the largest medical laboratory in the Netherlands. Prior to this role, Erik was an Interim/Sr. Project Manager at Kiadis Pharma, focusing on the transition to a commercial organization and establishing business processes for product launch. Erik's tenure at Philips spanned 16 years, during which Erik held various senior roles, including Sr. Director of Operations, where Erik was instrumental in scaling an In Vitro Diagnostics venture. Erik began the professional journey as an Operations Manager at Avebe, a leader in potato starch production. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Business Economics from Wageningen University & Research and a European Master of Logistics from the Logistics Management Association.
