Dr Vishal Sawant

Dr Vishal Sawant has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and healthcare industry, holding various leadership roles. Currently, they are the VP of Operational Risk Management & Intelligence_Claims at Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Limited. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of A & H Claims at Tata AIG General Insurance Company and held the role of Deputy VP. Dr Vishal also worked at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company as an Assistant Manager and at Family health plan TPA and Lifeline EMS India limited in senior positions.

Dr. Vishal Sawant has a diverse educational background. Dr Vishal completed their Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery from Amaravati University in 2000. Dr Vishal then pursued further studies in law, specializing in Insurance and Medical law, earning their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Mumbai University Mumbai. Dr. Sawant also obtained a fellowship diploma in health insurance & underwriting from the Insurance Institute of India. Dr Vishal continued their legal education by completing a Master of Laws (LLM) from both Mumbai University and University of Mumbai, with a focus on Law, Medicine, and Insurance. Additionally, they hold certifications in Forensic Science and Criminology from Annamalai University and in Medico-legal Studies from Symbiosis Centre For Management and Human Resource Development.
