Jitender Aswani

Jitender Aswani is a seasoned technology executive currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Engineering & Security at Starburst since April 2025, where responsibilities include overseeing global engineering, technical support, and information security teams. Prior to this role, Jitender was the VP and Global Head of Engineering and CISO at StarTree, leading the development of a cloud-native OLAP database and establishing security frameworks. Jitender's experience also includes significant roles at Moveworks as the Senior Director of Engineering & Data Science, focusing on scaling data organizations and launching LLM-powered products, as well as positions at Netflix and Facebook, where Jitender advanced data science, engineering, and cloud infrastructure initiatives. Jitender holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
