Kamil Bajda-Pawlikowski

Kamil Bajda-Pawlikowski is the Co-founder and CTO of Starburst, a position held since October 2017. Previously, Kamil served as Chief Architect at the Center for Hadoop at Teradata from July 2014 to September 2017, responsible for the overall architecture of Hadoop products, including Presto. Kamil co-founded Hadapt, leading the architecture and development team for the Hadapt platform from January 2011 to July 2014, after which Hadapt was acquired by Teradata. Kamil's academic background includes research as a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Yale University from September 2008 to June 2011, advised by respected professors in the field. Early career experience includes roles at My Research Lab, Sabre Holdings, and Contium S.A., contributing to diverse projects and leading development teams. Kamil holds a Master of Science and Master of Philosophy in Computer Science from Yale University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
