David joined Star in 2019 and as Head of Legal, is responsible for all legal, compliance, and corporate affairs at StarCompliance. David advises in several areas such as complex procurement transactions, technology, M&A, regulatory issues, privacy issues, and information security. He brings 15+ years of in-house experience managing a broad range of legal and business functions for fast-paced international businesses in highly regulated industries across technology and financial services. Prior to joining Star, David was Senior Counsel at the Compass Group, the world’s sixth-largest private employer and leader in food and support services management. David spent eight years as SVP Legal, Intellectual Property and Commercial Transactions of EyeLock, LLC, the leading provider of iris biometric technology, which was acquired by Voxx International. David received a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from Union College. He is admitted to practice in New York.
