Director, Product Owner (ECOI) at StarCompliance

Gary Chamberlain has a strong background in project management and product ownership. Gary started their career in 2001 at INPS, where they worked as a Data Services Consultant and later as a Second Line Support Analyst. At INPS, Gary was responsible for migrating data, analyzing data using natural language processing techniques, and providing second line support to the helpdesk and development teams.

In 2011, Gary joined Sciensus as a Project Manager and was instrumental in implementing agile practices within the company. Gary also served as the Information Security Officer on the Information Security Committee. At Sciensus, Gary developed bespoke applications for NHS hospitals and GP surgeries, utilizing technologies such as C# MVC, Entity Framework, SQL, Bootstrap, AngularJS, and JavaScript.

In 2015, Gary joined Pierbridge as a Project Manager, where they managed a multi-million dollar change program for a global e-commerce, shipping, and mailing products provider. Gary worked closely with clients to define and prioritize backlogs and was responsible for planning and delivering releases.

Since 2016, Gary has been working at StarCompliance in various roles. Gary started as a Director, Technical Project Manager, where they worked closely with the board, other directors, and the product team to turn strategic plans into a realistic roadmap. Gary also coached the QA, Product, and Development teams on agile practices and discussed potential technology improvements. In 2020, Gary transitioned to the role of Director, Product Manager (Data), where they were responsible for Star's data strategy and all data products. Gary provided leadership and guidance to the development teams and worked on the production and delivery of the data product roadmap.

Currently, Gary holds the position of Director, Product Owner (ECOI) at StarCompliance, where they continue to play a crucial role in product ownership and management.

Gary Chamberlain attended Blatchington Mill from 1991 to 1996. Gary then went on to Brighton Hove And Sussex VI form College (BHASVIC) from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained 4 A-Levels in Chemistry, Geography, Music, and General Studies. From 1998 to 2000, they attended Kingston University. Gary Chamberlain also obtained several certifications in various topics related to data science from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2014.
