David Burg, PE has over 12 years of experience in the engineering and automation industry. David started their career in 2009 as an Inventory Specialist at RGIS. In 2013, they were an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology and an Engineering Leadership Development Program Intern at Siemens. From 2014 to 2015, they were an Electrical Controls System Engineer at CBW Automation. From 2015 to 2018, they were an Engineer II, III, and IV at Matrix Technologies, Inc. During this time, they were responsible for meeting with clients and creating objective project specifications, writing code for PLCs, HMIs, Supervisory Computers, Vision Systems, Drives, Servos, and Instrumentation. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Project Manager and Controls Engineer at Timber Line Electric & Control Corp. David managed projects in the System Integration and Engineering divisions, was a Motorola ACE & MOSCAD RTU FIU Value Added Retailer VAR, and was responsible for business development. Currently, they are an EI&C Engineering Manager at Starfire Energy.

David Burg, PE obtained their Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in March 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014. During their time there, they also completed a Minor in Engineering & Business from the Denning Technology & Management Program. David also obtained an Associate in Science from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 2011.
