Information Technology Security Manager at STARK Deutschland

Daniel Bilanovic has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Daniel is currently working as an Information Technology Security Manager at STARK Deutschland since June 2021.

Prior to that, Bilanovic worked as a Security Consultant at TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH from May 2019 to June 2021. In this role, they set up and configured SIEM and NIDS-solutions for clients, coordinated internal IT-staff during log integration, implemented and tuned use cases.

Before joining TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH, Bilanovic was a Security Analyst at Goethe University from April 2018 to March 2019. Daniel helped organize and deliver IT-Security lectures, guided bachelor and master students during their final theses, and developed and established incident response processes at the university.

Bilanovic also worked as a Software Developer at ABK Systeme GmbH from June 2016 to March 2018, where they conducted in-house penetration tests of web applications and expanded the company's IT-Security capabilities. Before that, they evaluated existing Blockchain implementations and customized a Blockchain solution for the company.

In addition, Bilanovic has experience as a Computer Forensic Analyst for a brief period in 2017, and as a Student Assistant at Goethe University from October 2014 to May 2016. In the latter role, they were responsible for automatic network installation and worked as a tutor to teach programming with Python.

Daniel also gained experience as a Software Development Intern at ABK Systeme GmbH in early 2014, and as a Software Development Intern at Continental from July 2013 to October 2013. In these roles, they were involved in various tasks such as porting iOS Apps to Android and cross-platform framework and designing algorithms for production optimization.

Through their work experience, Daniel Bilanovic has developed a strong background in IT security, consulting, software development, and research.

Daniel Bilanovic completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 2007 to 2013. Daniel then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Goethe University Frankfurt, studying from 2013 to 2018.
