Rey Essex

Rey Essex has extensive experience in business development, sales, and consulting. Rey began their career in 1990 at IBM as a Systems Engineer, where they held various roles until 2001. In 2001, they joined HAHT Commerce as a Director of Business Development, where they were responsible for technology alliances to support the company's product line. In 2004, they joined GXS as Vice President of PIM Solution Sales, and in 2007, they moved to DataFlux as Director of Business Development. From 2008 to 2015, they held a Senior Director Retail Business role at Apple, and from 2014 to 2015, they were President at Redwood Perspective and Vice President at Stark RFID. In 2022, they co-founded EXO Checkout, where they primarily focused on business development, market development, and product definition and roadmap.

Rey Essex completed their high school education at the American School in London from 1982 to 1985. Rey then attended Duke University from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSE).
