Stephen Townsend

Stephen Townsend, CPA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Stephen began their career at Brody Chaiken Izenberg as a Field Appraiser from 1985-1987. Stephen then moved on to Weichert, Realtors, where they started as an auditor and rose to the position of Divisional Controller. At Weichert, they successfully led due diligence for three acquisitions and converted financial systems to JDEdwards, resulting in cost savings and improved efficiency. From 1998-2005, Stephen worked at Prudential Financial, where they were rapidly promoted to Director, External Reporting. Stephen supervised accounting staff, oversaw financial audits, and implemented ledger systems, including a project to convert the legacy ledger system to Oracle for major international subsidiaries. Following this, they joined Geller & Company, where they served as the Director of Financial Reporting for Bloomberg LP, overseeing all operational accounting functions. In 2011, Stephen joined McGivney, Kluger & Cook, P.C. as a Controller. There, they were responsible for financial reporting and control until 2018. Stephen's most recent position was as the Director of Finance at Stark & Stark, which they held from November 2018 onwards.
