Brian W. Chao has a diverse work experience in the financial and educational sectors. Brian W. began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis in 2011. In 2014, they joined Enterprise Bank & Trust as an Internal Auditor before moving on to Starkloff Disability Institute in 2017. At Starkloff, they initially served as a Business Manager from April 2017 to December 2018. In January 2019, they were promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer, where they continue to work.
Brian W. Chao earned a Master of Accounting degree from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they obtained a BSBA degree in Accounting, Organization and Human Resources from the same institution in 2008-2012. Additionally, Brian graduated as a Starkloff Career Academy Graduate from the Starkloff Disability Institute in May 2014.

Founded in 2003 by Max and Colleen Starkloff and David Newburger, the Starkloff Disability Institute focuses on influencing societal attitudes and perceptions toward people with disabilities through activities that send positive messages in order to create a world that welcomes all people with disabilities. Our Mission: Empower people with disabilities, influence the non-disabled, and serve as liaisons between them, in order to achieve full participation of the disabled through economic independence achieved through practical and collaborative means. Our Future Vision: We envision a society where the disabled are seen by themselves and others as equally gifted. SDI is the preeminent national expert on understanding, valuing, including, hiring, accommodating, working with, and living with those with disabilities. SDI will have changed the vocabulary around disability and driven higher employment and participation of the disabled.
