Starlight Children's Foundation Australia brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and young people by replacing pain, fear and stress with fun, joy and laughter. Starlight's vision is that everyone experiences a happy childhood because happiness matters. Since 1988, Starlight has expanded to become the broadest reaching children’s charity in Australia. There is now a Starlight Express Room in every children’s hospital in the country, where Captain Starlight helps kids forget about everything they're going through and just be kids. At Starlight our most important responsibility is to ensure our programs are provided in an environment that is caring, nurturing and safe for all children and young people. We are very proud that we've been awarded full Safeguarding Children accreditation through the Australian Childhood Foundation.
