Hugo Bolio

Hugo Bolio is an accomplished Project Director and Materials Scientist at Energy Vault, specializing in Gravity Based Energy Storage Systems since November 2021. As a Founding Partner and Director of Orchestrating Expertise, Bolio has been instrumental in various initiatives, including serving as a Fundraising Board Member for ARENA and a Board Member at DINERCAP. Previous roles include Vice President of Global Operations & Technology at CEMEX, where Bolio led significant capacity projects, and Senior Vice President of Technology across multiple CEMEX divisions, focusing on materials and safety standards. Bolio also has experience mentoring entrepreneurs with MicroMentor and has a strong educational background with a PhD and MSc in Solid State Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen, enhancing expertise in chemical engineering.
