Alfredo Castaneda, CPA, ABV

Alfredo Castaneda is an experienced CPA with a diverse work background. Alfredo most recently served as the Senior Director of Global Finance at STARLIMS starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at West Marine from July 2021 to January 2023. In this role, Alfredo was responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for the company, collaborating closely with the CFO and executive team.

From July 2017 to July 2021, Alfredo worked as the Senior Manager and Head of Global Financial Planning and Analysis at KEMET Electronics Corporation. During this time, they managed the consolidated $1.4 billion P&L and led efforts related to budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, financial modeling, and competitive benchmarking.

Prior to that, Alfredo was the Manager of Financial Analysis & Reporting at HEICO Aerospace from July 2013 to July 2017. Alfredo managed the consolidated annual $1.2 billion P&L forecast and provided ongoing analysis and reporting to senior management.

Before working at HEICO Aerospace, Alfredo served as a Senior Associate at BDO USA, LLP from October 2011 to September 2013. In this role, they specialized in audits and due diligence engagements for publicly traded and privately held businesses. Alfredo also assisted management with implementing complex financial reporting issues and prepared financial statements and disclosures.

Alfredo's career began in 2006 as an Associate in Audit & Consulting at various public accounting firms in the US and internationally. Alfredo gained experience in auditing and consulting for financial services, real estate, construction, and manufacturing industries with both publicly traded and privately held clients.

Throughout their career, Alfredo has demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting. Alfredo has also exhibited strong leadership and collaboration skills while working closely with executives and senior management.

Alfredo Castaneda, CPA, ABV, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida from 2004 to 2006. Alfredo continued their education at the University of Florida and completed a Masters Program in Accounting and Finance from 2007 to 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Castaneda has also obtained several certifications. In February 2014, they became Accredited in Business Valuation through the AICPA. Furthermore, in March 2010, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification offered by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
